Data: A.E.O.N. is the universal atomic clock system and the pride of
Technopolis' very preciese time researching and time measuring quantum
science division. Housed in a diamond-glass clocktower structure, this
V.I.C. oversees the aluminium/magnesium ion quantum chronometer unit
that drives nearly every time-driven process in the city. Wristwatch
chronometers operating in Technopolis are wirelessly linked to A.E.O.N.
via local wireless internet and global satellite ensuring temporal
precision for all manner of daily life. Featuring a number of
overlapping failsafes and numeric correction networks, it uses the new
standard of temporal accuracy it is said to keep time within one secnd
measured to 18 decimal places over a period of 100 million years.
The V.I.C. unit itself, while running off a DNA bioculture is designated
gender neutral and serves as an organizer and administrator of the
operating environment. While still a prototype in operation , A.E.O.N.
requires approxinately another 30 years before the project will be
declared successful.
